Kin Conversations: How to design a country house with Barlow & Barlow

We are thrilled to announce our new public event series for 2023 at Kin House, kicking off with a design talk, dinner and sleepover, hosted by our fabulous designer, Lucy Barlow of Barlow & Barlow. 

Lucy will be in conversation with lighting designer, Max Barlow; Farrow & Ball colour specialist, Patrick O’Donnell; and Fermoie director Jamie Shawcross, discussing how to design a country house, including where to spend and where to save. 

Come and explore Kin’s spaces, mingle with fellow interiors lovers — and learn a few savvy design tips along the way. We are also delighted to offer a limited number of bedrooms for those who wish to stay.

Tickets are £105 per person, including welcome drinks and canapés, panel talk and three-course dinner with wine.

Listen to our inaugural panel talk in Kilvert Bar, hosted by Lucy Barlow, in conversation with: lighting designer, Max Barlow; Farrow & Ball colour specialist, Patrick O’Donnell; and Fermoie director Jamie Shawcross.

Dinner

Sit down for a delicious three-course dinner in Kilvert Hall, our dedicated events space at Kin House. Vegan and vegetarian options are available.

Burrata, grilled fig, honey, dukkah, fig leaf oil

Wiltshire ale-braised Jacob’s ladder, charred shallot, chervil, ale sauce

Served with fire-roasted heritage carrots, parmesan polenta, Isle of Wight garlic and chilli tenderstem broccoli, baby courgette tempura and parmesan

Lemon cream, winter berries, almond cake, burnt meringue, vanilla ricotta

 

10pm-midnight

After-dinner drinks

Fitz Bar will be open until midnight for post-dinner drinks.
